Six months have passed since the appearance and cessation of activity of the unprecedented, gigantic life form Godzilla, which shocked the world on September 25th of last year.<\/p>\n

Godzilla is still under the care of NIGOD, and is under 24-hour surveillance and observation. In a meticulous progress report, NIGOD officially stated, “Godzilla is still inactive, and there are no signs of recovery.”<\/p>\n

Currently, Godzilla’s sleeping place, Nijigen no Mori, is on high alert, but no large-scale monitoring system has been put in place at the moment. NIGOD has sent a vital sign monitoring beacon into the inactive Godzilla, collecting data daily while conducting further research on the “G-cells” extracted from Godzilla and developing further measures in the unlikely event that Godzilla were to revive.<\/p>\n\n

NIGOD has currently announced two main types of Godzilla monitoring system: “Godzilla internal monitoring” and “Godzilla surface monitoring.” This involves direct visual monitoring of Godzilla, who is currently in a state of inactivity, to check for any abnormalities. In particular, “surface monitoring” involves visually checking the status of beacons shot directly into Godzilla’s skin, allowing Godzilla’s vital signs to be measured in real time. By performing these monitoring activities day and night, NIGOD is able to keep a constant eye on Godzilla’s condition.<\/p>\n\n

Although Godzilla is currently inactive, his unique cells, known as “G-cells,” which were scattered during the previous “Godzilla Interception Operation,” possess a strong vitality, and it has been reported that they are still scattered around the area where Godzilla is sealed, and are engaged in monotonous attacking behavior. It appears that NIGOD’s research had anticipated attacks by the “G-cells,” and a 5.7mm-sized “G-cell activity suppression bullet,” similar to the one fired at Godzilla during the “Interception Operation,” was prepared in advance and used to eliminate the G-cells.<\/p>\n\n

The “G Cell Suppression Bullets” are fired using a Belgian-made “FN P90” that has been customized. This is largely due to its light weight and ease of handling, making it suitable for use in emergencies by NIGOD researchers who have not received combat training. Furthermore, since this gun is not adopted by the Self-Defense Forces, it is believed that NIGOD obtained it through its own channels and obtained exclusive permission to use it. In both “internal monitoring” and “surface monitoring,” observers who approach Godzilla directly are more likely to encounter G Cells, and as a general rule, removing G Cells is also included in the mission of surveillance work.<\/p>\n\n
