To celebrate the 5th anniversary of “Operation Godzilla Intercept: National Godzilla Awajishima Research Center,” a new Godzilla collaboration room, “Showa Toho Monster Reference Room,” has opened at the official Nijigen no Mori villa, “GRAND CHARIOT Big Dipper 135\u00b0.” The collaboration room is a space where you can truly experience Godzilla’s history, featuring a three-dimensional display of the weapons used to fight Godzilla in Toho’s special effects films from the Showa era, as well as reproductions of scripts, storyboards, and sketches. Furthermore, the room is decorated with a “Showa Retro” motif, featuring low tables and cushions, enamel signs with monster names, and shoji-style blackout curtains, allowing you to fully enjoy Showa Retro alongside the monsters.<\/span>
In addition, there will be a variety of exclusive collaboration room novelties and special benefits. In addition to an admission ticket to “Operation Godzilla Counterattack,” guests will also receive a synthetic leather coaster engraved with Godzilla from “Operation Godzilla Counterattack,” and an art board with a design drawing of King Ghidorah, Godzilla’s greatest nemesis who first appeared in “The Greatest Battle on Earth.”<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Godzilla Interception Operation?<\/span><\/h2>\n

“Godzilla Intercept Operation” is a one-of-a-kind entertainment attraction themed around the world’s largest life-size Godzilla that landed on Awaji Island, allowing visitors to fully experience Godzilla’s might and power. Participants become members of the National Godzilla Awajishima Research Center and, through a film-like attraction video produced by Toho, are given an explanation of the “Godzilla Intercept Operation” that unfolds against Godzilla’s appearance on Awaji Island. Afterwards, they take on attractions such as the “Zip Line” and “Godzilla Cell Shooting.” The adjacent Godzilla Museum, the world’s first permanent facility, features spectacular dioramas and other exhibits that bring scenes from the film to life, with the cooperation of Toho Visual Arts Co., Ltd., the company responsible for the special effects art of Godzilla films.<\/span><\/p>\n
